Artist Talk within the framework of the Vienna Art Week: Günther Oberhollenzer speaks with Linda Berger, Thursday, 17.11.2016, 19h

I am in the current process of being, which I render, without the projection of the result. I begin with a white sheet of paper, I cover the whole room with it, I begin at zero point, I let the new world emerge, precisely in the way how it came out from me, without template, without draft. The space takes up the time, stores it to the surface, it does not exists anymore, it dissolves or transforms. The observer sees and directs their view towards the analysis of everything, what had happened to the point of the completion of the work. The room is playing with the perception of the viewer, it can blur the boundaries of the rational comprehension and show the sensation as the actually important experience.  The drawings are the transformation of the inner processes into the visual form. The workflow is something like empirical process in the laboratory situation. The drawing is near and far simultaneously. Each stroke in this room is the sign of a time and at the same time it is the sign of its artificial presence.
